Danica Pension is a leading provider of pension and insurance services, dedicated to helping individuals and businesses secure their financial future. Danica IT, a part of Danica Pension, is at the forefront of technological innovation within the company.

Beginning in 2025, Danica IT will launch an ambitious programme to modernise our pension core platform, set to continue until 2028. This programme aims to enhance product development capabilities, integrate new technologies, and improve real-time service delivery. By adopting a strategic, phased approach, we ensure alignment with broader objectives while maintaining business continuity. The modernisation will comprehensively update our systems, positioning us for increased efficiency and adaptability. A vendor will be selected to manage core solutions, and your primary responsibility will be to design and establish our Test and Quality Assurance processes as we transition to a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. You will ensure readiness for QA processes tailored to the SaaS environment, addressing potential integration and performance issues with new vendor solutions. Your first task will be to provide a clear framework and requirements for both the vendor and Danica, allowing us to evaluate possibilities and align quality assurance practices with Danske Bank standards.

In addition to being allocated to the programme, you will work with highly skilled colleagues across Danica and Danica IT. You will join a diverse team operating across the region, leveraging agile methodologies and advanced technologies to ensure the excellent quality outcomes. This role will initially be project-based, dedicated to the NewArk project. Upon successful completion, it will transition into a full-time position within our DevOps team, offering ample opportunities for professional growth and development.

Mission

• Lead the development and implementation of test automation strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes
• Analyse and organize the QA and testing processes and teams to ensure optimal performance and alignment with project goals
• Mentor and coach QA engineers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and career development
• Collaborate closely with the NewArk Programme team to ensure smooth integration and transition of testing practices
• Lead the Test and QA guild within Danica IT, promoting best practices and continuous improvement
• Develop comprehensive area-specific test plans and design test scenarios adhering to SDLC and ISTQB guidelines, ensuring they align with the unique requirements of the selected area
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in test automation and QA methodologies

Skills

• Extensive experience in QA leadership, focusing on infrastructure transformation projects
• Proven expertise in test automation, continuous integration, and QA strategy development
• Experience with various testing tools and technologies, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISTQB, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and agile methodologies ISTQB certification (or similar) is required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience within the financial services sector is preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to coach and develop a team of QA engineers
• Advanced English skills

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 3640 EUR to 5460 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
