With clear ties to our Forward ’28 Group Strategy, Group Data & Analytics are now creating the foundation for harnessing data & analytics capabilities. Currently, we are ramping up to build a highly specialized team that partners with our core business and development teams, to deliver solutions that elevate data driven decision making, and adds value to our portfolio of existing and new IT applications.

To do so, we have recently established an AI & Data Products team, that will empower the organisation to leverage data and AI technologies to deliver business value and benefits.

Not only do we want to build things right, but just as important, we want to build the right things – which in the era of AI, and all the hype that comes with it, can be a challenge. You will play a key role in striking that balance.

This role is less hands-on than the regular data scientist, rather you will be acting as a consultant. You will have a lot of involvement with business stakeholders, as part of our engagement model, where you will be maturing use-cases, facilitating and partaking in ideation workshops, creating delivery roadmaps, but also hands-on experimentation within our Lab environment.

As part of our migration to AWS you will also be involved in moving to our future Data Science platform to help accelerate the impact of Machine Learning across Danske Bank. This will happen in close collaboration with peers in other teams across the organization. You will evangelize clear directions for standards, best practices, and ways of working with data science, as formulated by our own team, as well as directing the thinking of and mentoring the more junior colleagues.

Mission

• Engage with business stakeholder to do problem solving grounded in data and AI/ML methods
• Hands-on experimentation and Proof-of-Value in our Lab environment
• Ensure the right/proper architecture for the ML(Ops) solution to ensure that they are easily applicable/consumable (in close collaboration with our ML Engineers)
• Be a role model to other members of the team and help educate Data Scientists and Data Engineers throughout our organisation in relation to both methods and platform/tooling
• Work in an agile framework, prioritizing a backlog to continuously deliver resultsCultivate strong relationships with data scientists and business experts across the organisation

Skills

• Deep knowledge (5+ years) of data science from previous hands-on roles or solid experience as a data scientist
• Self-driven with an ability to work individually and with others in the team and organisation
• Outcome-oriented with a focus on delivering
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to bring the right stakeholders together
• Curious about product development, technology trends with a thirst for knowledge and self-improvement
• Experience with following or similar technologies:
  • Python
  • Spark/PySpark
  • Airflow
  • SQL
  • Public Cloud providers (preferably AWS)
  • Databricks
  • FAST API
  • MLFlow
  • Monitoring frameworks (Prometheus, Graphana etc.)
  • Containerisation (ex. Kubernetees, Docker, Openshift)
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Git/Azure DevOps
• Design Thinking or similar UX framework experience would be a bonus
• Upper-intermediate English skills

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 3280 EUR to 4920 EUR gross EUR/monthly).

Your title in job contract will be Data Scientist, Senior.
