Contract Manager in Vendor Management Team

We are looking for a new colleague to join our enthusiastic and expanding Vendor Management team, currently consisting of over 15 people located in Denmark and Lithuania.
In close collaboration with internal stakeholders, the team the team aims to provide high-quality vendor performance. Danske Bank’s customers rely on available online and digital solutions 24/7, and external vendors are part of the ecosystem providing these solutions. That is why our team contributes significantly to fulfilling the bank’s business goals and supporting the customer experience by ensuring optimum value from our contracts.
You will be managing critical contracts with external vendors by building relationships, optimising the value of contracts, and tracking vendors’ performance.
Your contribution will be of high importance as you ensure the vendors continuously deliver on their contractual obligations, stay compliant with relevant regulations, and mitigate any risks from their services while aligning with the contract owners’ expectations.

Mission
- Be responsible for a portfolio of IT vendors and contracts following contract signature
- Establish, facilitate, and govern the relationship with the vendors’ representatives and the internal contract owner
- Continuously track, monitor, and follow up on the obligations and rights in the agreements towards the vendor
- Engage with relevant internal subject matter experts from legal, finance, and risk, and engage with the vendor to agree on and monitor remediation actions (in case of deviation from what is agreed)
- Be responsible for running a structured governance setup with the relevant meetings on both operational, tactical, and strategic levels, collaborating with the relevant internal stakeholders and the vendor
- Work closely with procurement and legal in contract negotiations, ensuring all appropriate terms for the appropriate monitoring and governance of the contract following signature
- Ensure the organisational implementation of agreements following signature through continuous communication to all relevant stakeholders
- Be responsible for the documentation of contractual issues and governance-related material
Skills
- 3+ years of work experience in contract management or a related field, such as sourcing, procurement, or service delivery
- Experience in maintaining professional relationships and commercial engagements, with the ability to adjust communication across cultures
- Previous experience with contracts, preferably outsourced services and/or software
- Experience working in a large customer organisation or on the vendor side
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and ensure optimal value from contracts
- Detail-oriented and focused on quality with a long-term solutions approach and profound analytical skills
- Experience with risk management or compliance monitoring measures (considered a bonus
- Upper-intermediate English skills, both written and spoken
