The service we are creating and evolving is an internal event-based messaging infrastructure for all of Telia Company to use. We leverage open-source platforms, like Kafka and ActiveMQ Artemis, and our own built services to create robust, simple, and transparent ways to order, manage, and monitor messaging integrations. In the role of DevOps Engineer, you would be contributing to implementing new features and improving existing offering for our users.

Your experience:

You bring a strong foundation in DevOps and software development practices, starting with your comfort in Linux environments and proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python. Your expertise spans infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible or Terraform, as well as creating efficient CI/CD pipelines with platforms like GitHub Actions, GitLab, and Jenkins. Proficient in monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana, you also demonstrate a solid understanding of version control systems like Git. Additionally, your experience in cross-team collaboration highlights your ability to manage technical challenges and interdependencies effectively.

While not mandatory, your familiarity with modern security practices, including OAuth, JWT, and OpenID Connect, adds valuable depth to your profile. Experience with messaging systems like Kafka and database management (SQL or NoSQL) would be beneficial in this role. You would be even more successful in this role if you have an understanding of backend and API development using languages like Java, Go, or Node.js.  We work with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes in our daily work so if you have hands on experience with these technologies that would be seen as a big plus. Open-source projects is a huge advantage.

We offer a monthly base salary from 3 354 – 5 032 EUR (gross) monthly (this is a reference range, exact salary will depend on your competences). Plus annual bonuses which vary, depending on your competencies and your and Telia results. Besides, for each employee Telia has an additional employee benefit package.
