In Welcoming and Orchestration, we have three main drivers. Our vision is to revamp the way we welcome customers, streamline the digitalization of the sales process, and provide workflow orchestration services to the Danske Bank Group.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the tribe’s strategic direction and infrastructure in a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and collaboration. We expect you to be capable of leading initiatives, establishing new engineering capabilities, and mentoring team members.

This position offers the liberty to innovate and lead in creating robust, scalable solutions that significantly enhance customer and operational experiences across the bank. We continuously drive the evolution of our systems to accomplish lean, simple, and elegant solutions–that fulfil the needs of our consumers.

Mission

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to define and implement data engineering strategies
• Lead the establishment of CI/CD pipelines for data operations
• Help define and set up the development environment for data engineering projects
• Utilize AWS data services (e.g., AWS Glue, AWS databases) to optimize data processes
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using the language of choice, compatible with Danske Bank’s tech stack
• Mentor and guide team members in data engineering best practices

Skills

• Proven experience in a Data Engineer or similar role, with a solid background in data architecture and pipeline design
• Expertise in CI/CD tools and methodologies
• Proven experience with AWS data services
• Proficient in at least one programming language suitable for ETL development (Python preferred)
• Ability to work in a rapidly evolving environment and to contribute to the establishment of new engineering capabilities
• Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
• Solid communication and collaboration skills
• AWS Certified Data Engineer (would be a bonus)
• Upper-Intermediate English language skills

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 4280 EUR to 6420 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
