Join our full-stack team at Danske Bank as we develop a cutting-edge model platform for credit risk assessment. Our work influences critical decisions, from individual credit lending to capital allocation for entire portfolios. You will collaborate closely with teams redeveloping these vital models, all within a dynamic department that oversees and operates the bank’s existing IT model infrastructure. This positions you at a hub of expertise and strategic prioritisation, setting you up for success.

Danske Bank supports a high degree of workplace flexibility (our team is currently using a hybrid working model, where we work at least 3 days a week in the office.).
Mission
- Help design, build and maintain elements of the Data Science and Machine Learning Platform
- In collaboration, design platform workflows for Data Engineers of platform tenants developing their Machine Learning Models within the platform
- In collaboration, design workflows ingesting data from on-prem sources, while building and maintaining the ingestion pipelines with other Data Engineers
Skills
- 5+ years of Data Engineering experience. Experience working with AWS
- Exposure to Data Engineering with Machine Learning in mind to support both model development and execution, ideally through implementation of purpose specific Feature Stores
- Having fundamental Data Lake / Data Lakehouse knowledge to design and build a data solution supporting Machine Learning Feature Stores as well as implementing individual pipelines
- Excellent understanding of platform engineering to set-up and maintain Data Lake and Model Execution Platform
- You will be part of a platform team including, data engineers, DevOps, cloud engineers, platform engineers/architects as well as regular contact with data engineers, MLOps and Data Scientists from other teams
- A collaborative mindset and contributing to the general platform tasks are required as the work won’t be strictly Data Engineering tasks
- Main technologies/methods: SQL, NoSQL, Apache Spark, PySpark, Python, Pandas Parquet, Hadoop, CI/CD (Azure DevOps), Airflow/”data wrangling”, Iceberg/Hulu/Delta Table, AWS Sagemaker, AWS Lake Formation, Amazon Athena, Amazon EMR or AWS Glue, IaC (Terraform)
- Upper-Intermediate English skills

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 4280 EUR to 6420 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
