Danske Bank has an exciting opportunity for you to join our Linux and Container Orchestration services team, which has end-to-end ownership of Linux and container-based services in both private and public clouds. We are the team behind 10,000+ Linux machines and the first production OpenShift clusters in the financial Nordics, running 50,000+ containers. But we’re not stopping there. The most significant journey is still ahead: the expansion of our infrastructure to the public cloud.
In line with Danske Bank’s Forward’28 strategy, there is a massive emphasis on the further digitalization of the bank, including migration to the public cloud. Danske Bank supports a high degree of workplace flexibility (our team is currently using a hybrid working model, where we work at least 3 days a week in the office.).

Mission
- Play a crucial role in supporting our Compute (Linux), Container Orchestration, and Private/Public cloud infrastructure offerings by continuously striving to improve and upgrade both our on-premises and public cloud offerings to ensure optimal performance and security
- Leverage your expertise to provide guidance to our infrastructure teams, users, and developers, and mentor your team members
- Manage one or more of the services, serving as its main point of contact for our user community
- Work closely with infrastructure service users to resolve ongoing issues, using your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime
- Play a critical role in automating infrastructure processes, ensuring more efficient operations and freeing up team resources for innovation and strategic tasks
- Have an opportunity to bring forward new ideas and strategies to keep our infrastructure at the forefront of the industry
- Contribute insights to the roadmap for future development and enhancements of our services
Skills
- 4 + years of hands-on experience with Linux
- Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, or others
- Scripting or programming skills in any of the following languages: Ruby, Python, Bash
- Understanding of Linux security technologies and observability practices, methods, and tools
- Experience with automation tools like Chef, Ansible, Terraform
- Great troubleshooting and debugging skills, enabling you to diagnose and fix issues quickly and efficiently
- Solid communication skills with the ability to work with diverse teams and build a positive working environment
- Hands-on experience with public cloud services in AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Upper-Intermediate skills in English

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 4480 EUR to 6720 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
