
Chapter lead for data engineering Monitoring and Screening

We are seeking a professional to build and lead a team focused on implementing analytical models to detect financial crime, with a primary emphasis on Anti-Money Laundering (AML). You will be responsible for developing data pipelines that support analytical tools, analysts, and data scientists in creating effective financial crime detection models.
To excel in this role, you should “possess comprehensive” knowledge in managing Big Data on cloud platforms, with potential exposure to technologies such as AWS or Azure, SOA with API, REST, and distributed systems using Spark with Scala or Python.
You should have a history in overseeing data engineering projects and collaborating with stakeholders, including modelling teams and internal data suppliers, to understand and meet their data requirements. A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, and proficiency in data engineering is essential. Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Data Engineer, are beneficial.

Mission
- Ensure that quality code and processes are implemented for high volume financial data
- Implement in financial crime detection the AWS based data platform that will be Danske Bank’s standard data platform
- Develop a data sourcing for a large scalable platform utilizing a framework developed by a 3rd party vendor
- Own the IT assets you develop and continuously improve the operational processes to keep our solutions safe and operational
- Develop the skills and performance of your team
- Build and lead a team of data engineers developing data pipelines & implementing analytical models for financial crime detection. All tasks will be solved as part of multifunctional squad consisting of Data engineers, Machine Learning operations as well as experts in financial crime
Skills
- Experience in managing Big Data on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with technologies such as SOA with API, REST, and distributed systems using Spark with Scala or Python
- Experience in overseeing data engineering projects
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, including modelling teams and internal data suppliers, to understand their data requirements
- Skilled in developing data pipelines to meet stakeholder needs
- Holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

We will ensure that exact salary offered for you will be based on your qualifications, competencies, professional experience and requirements for the corresponding job function (salary range from 5200 EUR to 7800 EUR gross EUR/monthly).
Your title in job contract will be Squad Leader (Chapter Lead).
