MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (F/M/D) I IGNITIS RENEWABLES

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Operations, Maintenance, and Asset Management Office of the Ignitis Renewables team. In this role, you will manage and ensure preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance, as well as repair of the electrical and electromechanical components of all existing assets in Lithuania, including operational wind farms, solar facilities, battery energy storage systems, electrical networks, power substations, switchgear, and other power plant equipment. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Managing tasks and coordinating work of internal electrical technicians, and contractors
- Organizing preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, including inspections, repairs, and updating of technical documentation
- Ensuring safety by managing emergency repairs, equipment shutdowns, and addressing risks to health, safety, and equipment integrity
- Preparing and managing maintenance schedules, technical specifications, and procurement documentation
- Monitoring spare parts inventory and collaborating with logistics for procurement
- Participating in testing, commissioning, and technical due diligence of repaired or reconstructed equipment
- Reviewing contractor work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with technical requirements
- Proposing and implementing improvements for maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency.
Required for this position:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical / Automation Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design, testing, planning, or maintenance of power plants or electrical substations
- Certified as an electrical energy worker, category B or C, for operation and/or management
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, control systems, and safety regulations
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to optimize maintenance processes
- Good English and Lithuanian language skills
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Would be an advantage:
- Experience with renewable energy systems (wind, solar, or energy storage)
- Familiarity with relay protection engineering and distribution / transmission networks.

Salary range for this position group is 2401 to 3602 EUR (before taxes). The final offer depends on experience and competence. Variable part of remuneration may be paid depending on results.
